Areas we serve

Pain management for Jacksonville, Florida.

A physician-led pain medicine practice just south of the city — for people who would rather not be a file number in a hospital system.

Our only office is in Nocatee Town Center — 380 Town Plaza Ave, Suite 420, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32081. This page is for patients travelling from Jacksonville and the Beaches.

Jacksonville has no shortage of pain management clinics. What it has less of is a practice where one physician directs your care from the assessment through the procedure, reads your imaging with you, and performs the procedure himself — rather than handing you between a proceduralist and a scheduler.

Patients come to us from Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach — up A1A from the beaches, or down 9B and US-1 from the south side — usually for one of two reasons. Either they have been through a larger practice and want a second opinion from someone who will actually sit with the imaging, or they have been offered surgery and want to know what sits between here and there.

We are not the right practice for everyone. If you need long-term medication management, a larger multidisciplinary group will serve you better. If what you want is a specific diagnosis and an interventional plan aimed at resolving the pain, that is exactly what this practice is built for.

Practical

Getting here and what to expect

  • From the Beaches: south on A1A through Ponte Vedra to Nocatee Town Center
  • From the south side: 9B or US-1 south to Nocatee
  • Free parking outside the door — no hospital campus or parking deck
  • Dr. Loch directs assessment, imaging review and procedure
  • In-office procedures avoid a separate hospital facility fee

Most Jacksonville patients come for a second opinion — either on a surgical recommendation, or after a course of treatment that never established what was causing the pain in the first place.

I go to the top position and must’ve been but lots alike so that sits at the very top. I refer him to anybody. I know that’s in pain because I know he has the knowledge and skills to help him.

I have been to many Pain Management Doctors and have finally found Dr Loch. I never feel rushed or uncomfortable. Dr. Loch and his amazing staff are extremely friendly and supportive. Instead of treating me as a patient, I am treated with compassion.

Questions from this area

Do you see patients from Jacksonville?
Yes — Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach are a large share of the practice. The office is in Nocatee Town Center, south of the city: down 9B and US-1 from the south side, or straight down A1A from the Beaches. For most of the south side it is a shorter trip than crossing town to a hospital campus.
How is this different from the big Jacksonville pain clinics?
Dr. Loch leads the team and directs every plan of care. He reads your imaging with you on the screen and performs the procedures himself. Diagnostic ultrasound and live X-ray are in the office, so working out what is wrong and treating it are not two separate trips weeks apart.
Can I get a second opinion before agreeing to spine surgery?
That is one of the two most common reasons people drive down from Jacksonville. A diagnostic work-up is worth having before committing to an operation — a large share of what gets referred for surgery has an interventional option that has not been properly explored.
Do you offer PRP in Jacksonville?
Platelet-rich plasma and other orthobiologic treatments are performed at the Nocatee office, a short drive south. Dr. Loch trained in orthobiologics through the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation and is part of the Regenexx physician network. Note these are generally self-pay.
